Our approach to the development, enhancement and implementation of AURA has been unique in comparison to that of a typical software provider. RTP has brought top resources together with backgrounds in Technology, Underwriting, New Business Processing and Project Management to ensure that AURA will meet the requirements for all of these disciplines.

President and Chief Executive Officer
Jym is the President and Chief Executive Officer of RGA Technology Partners. As one of the founders in 2001 Jym has provided a vision for the direction of RTP. Jym has been tracking trends in the industry for over a decade and designing plans that fit that direction for insurers worldwide. From 1996 – 2001, Jym was Executive Vice President of NaviSys, where he was one of the founding members of the Internet & E-Commerce division. Prior to NaviSys, he worked in the information systems industry for 15 years and founded STL.NET, Inc., an Internet management-consulting firm.
 Mark Friedel
Senior Vice President and
Chief Operations Officer
Mark is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for RGA Technology Partners. As one of the founders in 2001, Mark has led product development for AURA software and services. In addition, Mark has had oversight for business studies and implementations for dozens of insurers. Prior to joining RGA, Mark was at NaviSys and Genelco for 13 years where he was one of the founding members of the Internet & E-Commerce division.
 Timothy Poulsen
Director – Financial Reporting
Tim, in his role as Director of Financial Reporting, is responsible for all Finance functions for RGA Technology Partners. Tim has 20 years of experience in Finance/Accounting, mainly in the insurance and software industries. Tim began his career with Coopers & Lybrand and moved on to various accounting and management roles with General American Life Insurance Company, Genelco, Liberty Insurance Services and IBM.
 Nancy Berger
Manager of Business Services
Nancy joined RGA Technology Partners in 2004. Nancy’s Business Services team is comprised of Underwriting, Business Analysis, Rules Development/Administration and Quality Assurance with team members located in the U.S. and Canada. The Business Services team plays a key role in implementations throughout RTP’s global customer base. Prior to joining RTP, Nancy was Director of Information Technology at MetLife/GenAmerica and was responsible for development and support of the GenAmerica Illustration system as well as various Policy Administration systems. From 1982 to 1987 Nancy worked as programmer/analyst on Life and Casualty Insurance at Reliable Life Insurance. She has over 20 years experience in IT Development and Management in the Life Insurance Industry.
 Peter Catalano, CPCU
Project Management Office
Peter is an insurance industry veteran with over 30 years experience in project management on both the IT and product sides. Since 2005, Peter has overseen all RTP project managers and their AURA-related projects, bringing a level of organization and strategy that has made RTP a highly flexible and responsive organization. Prior to coming to RTP, Peter was the Director of Service and Administration at UnumProvident Corporation. He has also served in IT roles for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. and National Alliance Insurance Co.
